Line & Wrinkle Reduction

Restylane, Juvederm, Aquamid and Radiesse are used to fill facial lines and hollows around the eyes, mouth & cheeks. Total treatment time is about 30 mins.

Restylane the most well known uses a fine needle to restore volume. Swelling may be mild for 1-2 days and the optimal effect is evident at 1 week and its’ effect lasts 6-12 months.

Juvederm – made by the same company as Botox – has similar properties to Restylane. It is a useful treatment in the lower part of the face where Botox treatment is usually not given.

Aquamid is permanent, lasting up to 10 years, hence is more expensive.

Radiesse is also long lasting. It initially acts as a filler, but as it dissolves over months, new collagen is laid down creating a soft, natural feel.

Lip Augmentation

All the above fillers already discussed are used to augment the lip border and body. The type of product chosen depends on the patient’s desires.

The procedure involves a dental block to numb the area; then the filler is injected into the target area.

Mild swelling is common for 2 days but may persist for 1 week.
