It is run by experienced male and female doctors and so waiting times have been significantly reduced.
The clinic is open for appointments from open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and some Saturdays.
No referral is necessary but an appointment is essential.
The service is bulk billed.
The Skin Cancer Centre provides early detection and management of skin cancer.
Early signs of melanoma may include:

- Strip off and have a mirror handy
- Check your chest, stomach, and the front of your arms and legs
- Now check the back of your arms and legs
- Twist and see your sides
- With the mirror, carefully check your face and your ears
- Have a relative or friend check your back. If this is not possible you can examine your back yourself. Simply look into a hand-held mirror while standing with your back to a wall mirror

PDT - Photodynamic Therapy
This treatment is used for cancerous & non-cancerous conditions. Particulary lesions present in anatomically difficult areas or cosmetically sensitive (e.g face) or poor healing sites.
This therapy is used for Bowens Disease, Actinic Keratosis and Superificial Basal Cell Carcinoma.
PDT combines the use of a special drug / cream and application of a particular light. The cream (photosensitiser) is applied to the skin and left for a period of time and exposed to the LED light.
Initially, the skin will appear sunburnt but then will gradually heal, over 21 days.
